Solano Community College (SCC) is a two-year institution of higher learning located in Fairfield, Solano County, California (between San Francisco and Sacramento). [1]

The mission of Solano Community College is to provide the highest quality academic, occupational, cultural, developmental, and continuing education programs that are dedicated to the achievement of student learning outcomes and responsive to the learning needs of our community. [3]

The inspiration for this site came from a need to have a central place for nursing students to congregate and support one another in an online environment, to share resources, to share tips on how to survive nursing school, share stories, and whatever else it takes to complete this program and become Registered Nurses. It was part of the Vallejo City Unified School District until 1967, when it established itself as a countywide institution. [1]
