At one point in director Todd Phillips’ post-Animal House, pre-midlife crisis comedy Old School, love interest Nicole (Ellen Pompeo) slyly mentions to Mitch (Luke Wilson), the “Godfather” of a ragtag fraternity, that she always wondered what went on in “those places” (meaning frat houses). [...] Mitch (Luke Wilson) returns home from a less-than-pleasant business trip one evening to discover his wife, Heidi (Juliette Lewis), involved in a m?nage ? trois with two blindfolded strangers. Continuity: When Megan Huang is playing the tape of Dean Pritchard to Mitch and Frank, the fraternity evaluation committee suddenly appears standing behind them towards the end when Dean Pritchard steals the tape. [3]
During the party, Frank gets drunk and goes streaking through the neighborhood and is found by his new wife and her friends, straining their relationship. [2]
This prompts his buddies–the newly married Frank (Will Ferrell) and Beanie (Vince Vaughn), a jaded husband, father, and stereo-store tycoon–to throw Mitch a huge party in honor of his renewed single status. [1]
