transformers 2 release date

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Despite recent comments from producer Don Murphy and director Michael Bay, it appears Paramount has set a release date for Transformers 2 — June 26, 2009. [1]

Despite a recent comment from Transformers director Michael Bay that the studio hasn’t been going full speed ahead on a sequel because of the possible strike next year, Paramount Pictures has now set a June 26, 2009 release date for Transformers 2. [2]

With a release date of June 26, 2009, Bay should have plenty of time to fit in another movie or two (he did want to shoot a smaller pic about a bunch of guys at a gym — no idea what that’s about), and the film he could take on in the meantime is 2012, which we told you about earlier today. [1]

Bay claims that the bearded one digs Revenge of the Fallen. [3]

Cass R. Sunstein is currently the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. [1]

Cass Sunstein, professor at the University of Chicago Law School and Department of Political Science. [2]

The world is obsessed with celebrity professors Cass Sunstein and Samantha Power, who recently left the ivory tower to take high-ranking positions in the Obama Administration. [3]

We host a discussion with Cass Sunstein, an informal adviser to Barack Obama and an outgoing University of Chicago Law School professor who has been described as “the nation’s most-cited legal scholar,” and Glenn Greenwald, a former constitutional law attorney and political and legal blogger for Salon.com. [2]

Justice David Souter is planning to retire after nearly two decades on the Supreme Court, giving President Barack Obama his first chance to fill a vacancy on the high court. [4]

On January 16, 2009, Sunstein was tapped by President-elect Obama to be the director of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, the administration’s office that regulates executive agency rules. [5]

In an apparent reversal, Obama backed a new bill authorizing the Bush administration’s domestic spy program and granting immunity for the telecom companies that took part. [2]

Harvard Law School student “Percy Thrillington” snapped a few photos of the happy couple, in an HLS parking lot — the small parking lot just off Mass. [3]

) is an American legal scholar, particularly in the fields of constitutional law, administrative law, environmental law, and law and behavioral economics. [6]

After graduation, he clerked for Justice Benjamin Kaplan of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and Justice Thurgood Marshall of the U.S. Supreme Court, and then he worked as an attorney-advisor in the Office of the Legal Counsel of the U.S. Department of Justice. [1]

He might someday sit on the Supreme Court; she’s a winner of the Pulitzer Prize; and together, as we previously reported (see the update), they’re creating the World’s Smartest Baby. [3]

And like all top Democratic leaders, Obama has refused to support calls for the prosecution of President Bush and top White House officials for war crimes and other abuses of power. [2]

Speculation that the 69-year-old justice will be stepping down has been fueled by his failure to appoint law clerks from the fall term. [4]

He served as a law clerk first for Justice Benjamin Kaplan of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (1978-1979) and later for Justice Thurgood Marshall of the Supreme Court (1979-1980). [6]

Reagan called the court’s refusal “an abuse of power as bad as the transgressions of Watergate” and said, “The court needs new justices who respect and reflect the values and morals of the American majority.” [4]
