Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings is a video game currently under development by LucasArts for the Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation 2. [1]

UK, May 5, 2009 - Okay, so it’s not the all-out, hi-def extravaganza we’d all been expecting prior to LucasArts surprise Wii announcement late last year, but Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings is classic Indy through and through. [2]

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings is a video game currently under development by LucasArts for the Wii, Nintendo DS, PSP, PS2 set for a Spring 2009 release and also includes Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. [3]

Lucasarts’ own Matt Shell is back at it again, bringing us three new videos looking at several different aspects of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. [4]

Step into the shoes of the legendary hero, Indiana Jones, in an all new epic adventure! [5]

The first video highlights the co-op gameplay (only available in the Wii version of the game), which will allow a friend to jump into the shoes of Indy’s dad for some fatherly scolding, and to pummel a bad guy or two. [4]

The combat in the game looks like it will be nicely varied, which will give this title a rounded feel. [...] But no matter how you feel about the latest film, Indiana Jones is an undeniable staple of pop-culture, and even though the original Indy may have seen his last hurrah in Hollywood, it seems ol’ Indy will be taking on a second life in the world of video games. Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings features completely interactive environments, where players need to call upon their wits and daring to make each spring-loaded environment a weapon in order to dispense of foes in clever and unexpected ways. [5]

The danger-seeking archaeologist seeks out fortune and glory in environments all over the globe in this adventure game. [7]

According to this new trailer (after the cut), you can finally get rid of the hat and whip and get the full Indy experience by playing the upcoming Wii version of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. [4]

From San Francisco’s Chinatown to the lush jungles of Panama, Indy must use his whip, fists and wits to fight through ruthless opposition as he spars with his nemesis, Magnus V?ller, in a race for a relic of biblical proportions ‘ the Staff of Moses. [1]

By which, of course, we mean there’s a powerful artifact that Indy has to find, and some bad guys fight him in and around moving vehicles as he pursues it. [4]
