2007-08 (Sophomore): Outdoor Track: Competes in high jump and 4X100 meter relay for the Minutemen… At the IC4A Championships (5/17), placed 22nd with a time of 43.06 alongside teammates Tyler Cotto, Ian Hackney, and Nathan Barksdale… With Barksdale, Cotto, and Sam Laorenza at the New England Championships (5/10), finished fourth with a time of 42.94 in the 4X100 meter relay… With Barksdale, Cotto, and Hackney, finished fourth at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/3) with a time of 42.30 in the 4X100 meter… Competing in the high jump, marked a 6-02 for a fourth place finish at the UNH Pre Conference Meet (4/26)… At the Larry Ellis Invitational (4/19), ran a season-best 42.93 with Barksdale, Hackey, and Laorenza in the 4X100 meter relay to an eighth place finish… In the high jump, marked a season-best 6-02.25 for a second place finish at the UConn Invitational (4/5) and ran the 4X100 in 43.24 with Barksdale, Hackney, and Andrew O’Donnell to a first place finish… Indoor Track: Competed in the high jump at the New England Championships (3/1) with a mark of 6-04.25… At the Atlantic 10 Championships, finished second with a season-best high jump of 6-06.25 and competed in the long jump with a distance of 20-09.00. ‘Going to a hockey game with all that spirit and Michigan love was so refreshing after having such a dead period since football,’ said Tidik, who now considers herself a converted hockey fanatic. Personal: Brian Thomas Miller… Born April 30, 1988 in Hyannis, Mass. [...] Before UMass: A 2006 graduate of Foxboro High School where he was part of the Class C 4 by 400 record holding relay team… Team MVP in his Junior and Senior Year and League MVP his senior year… Posted personal bests of 6.71 in the 55m, 22.8 in the 200m and 40.6 in the 300m hurdles… Posted personal bests of 6′5” in the high jump and 20′ 9” in the long jump… He also played soccer for 4 years in which he received the MIAA Sportsmanship award… Also played basketball for 2 years. Students are also known for chanting ‘ugly goalie’ if the opposing goalie reveals his face for a drink of water, then cheering when he puts his helmet back on. [1]
