inward eye

Inward Eye is an indie-rock band, hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba in central Canada. [1]

The result of their labours is the Inward Eye EP rife with powerful anthems that crackle with bratty energy and recall the swinging riffs, shouted chants, and raw-nerve rock of their favourite bands. [2]

Canadian trio Inward Eye have earned comparison to a number of potent high-energy rock bands of the past, including the Clash, the Jam, and the Who, and they received the seal of approval from the latter group when the Who invited Inward Eye to open for them during a 2006 tour of Canada. [3]

The Inward Eye is a place to which one can come to learn about the role of imagery in creating, growing, and healing. [4]

Inward Eye is a 3-piece rock band of brothers from Winnipeg, Manitoba consisting of Dave (bass/vocals, 22), Kyle (guitar, 20) and Anders (drums, 18) Erickson. [1]

Recorded at producer Arnold Lanni’s (Simple Plan, Finger Eleven, Our Lady Peace) studio in Temecula, California the boys took the lessons learned from logging ungodly long trips in their van, criss-crossing the continent on tour, and put them to the test in the studio. [...] The EP will be available at all music retailers and on-line. [...] The lead off track “Shame” was serviced to Canadian rock and modern rock radio stations on January 19th, 2009. [...] Winnipeg Manitoba rockers Inward Eye will release their debut EP in Canada on January 27th, 2009. [2]

Located primarily in Philadelphia, The Inward Eye will also travel to offer workshops and groups. [4]

You should do Warped Tour again! [5]

With Anders’ manic drum fills, Kyle’s guitar outbursts, and Dave’s command of the audience, Inward Eye is bringing back a fun spontaneity to rock shows. [2]

First looking at them as a writing project, he quickly realized that they could write just fine on their own - so he produced two demos for the band, and put together a promo package that led to the involvement of producer Arnold Lanni (Simple Plan, Our Lady Peace, Finger Eleven) and Rob Lanni of Coalition Management (coalitionent.com). [1]

When the buzz spread about them, it spread fast — by 2004, Glen Willows (who in the ’80s played guitar with Canadian hitmakers Harlequin) and Rob Lanni had signed on as the group’s managers, and it wasn’t long before the band was filling clubs along Canada’s West Coast. [3]

Hi Dave, Kyle and Anders, here’s a photo of your last performance at The Sound Academy in Toronto, will see you this Friday at the same venue. [5]
