The threat from North Korea’s aggressive posture went up another notch as the United States prepared to counter any missile attack from the isolated communist country led by the unpredictable Kim Jong Il. [1]

North Korea does not currently possess a working ICBM that would reach Hawaii (although they’re working on it). [2]

It was deployed earlier this week just in time to answer to a possible nuclear missile attack from North Korea. [3]

North Korea, which has been firing missiles and spewing threats against the United States, has been identified by South Korea’s main spy agency as a suspect in the cyber attacks targeting government and other Web sites in the U.S. and South Korea. [4]

U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates has told BBC News that we are “in a good position” to protect ourselves against a potential North Korean missile strike. [5]

I hope North Korea does not fire at Hawaii, because personally I have no idea what Obama would do. [6]

His ominous comment on the heels of a report that claims that North Korea was “considering launching a missile towards Hawaii.” [5]

The Defense department is supposedly deploying more land based interceptor missiles in Hawaii as well as keeping missiles on the continent in alert status. [3]

I’m just curious if North Korea’s missiles can actually go as far as hawaii, because I know they’re most recent missile test fell over 2,000 miles short of hawaii, and since i’m going to hawaii in 2 weeks…I’m just curious. [2]

The Wall Street Journal leads with news that the United States is deploying ground-to-air missile defenses to Hawaii out of fear that North Korea may soon try to fire a long-range missile in that direction. [7]

It’s adding to its nuclear arsenal. [8]

Some reports have said North Korea may have recently transported a long-range ballistic missile, presumably an improved version of its Taepodong-2 missile, to a launch site in the northeast part of the country. [...] Gates has directed the deployment of Terminal High Altitude Area Defense missiles and the Sea Based X-Band radar in the waters off Hawaii to track and attack any North Korean missile. [1]

It’s making preparations for a missile launch aimed at Hawaii. [8]

… I do hope that everyone keeps in mind that there is indeed no such thing as a winnable war, particularly if nuclear arms are involved. [5]
