Outstanding and funny movie, that’s why I bought DVD format, because we do not have a VHS player anymore. [2]

The thing that makes this movie so good is the cast, the actors are really perfectly chosen and they play it really well. [...] He is faced with numerous problems: henchmen who know nothing but crime, the police who are convinced he is hatching a master plan, and Oscar, who has just got his daughter pregnant. [3]

The cast includes Kirk Douglas as Stallone’s father, whose deathbed wish compels Snaps to go into legitimate banking at the exact moment the latter’s daughter (Marisa Tomei) announces her love for a chauffeur. Plot holes: From the time that Dr. Poole arrives at Mr. Provolone’s residence to the time that he guesses Little Anthony’s place of birth by his accent, Little Anthony never says a word. [3]

Despite having no experience in making money in a legal fashion, Snaps sets about to keep his promise. [3]

This great singer is so full of energy….he so professional in what he does..even with his band members.. [1]

It's a comedy of criminal proportions! [...] This film is based on the 1958 French play “Oscar” by Claude Magnier. [3]

Oscar was Sylvester Stallone’s agreeable, 1991 effort at broad comedy, a fast-talking, suspender-snapping gangster farce featuring the Rambo star as a 1930s Chicago mob boss, Snaps Provolone, trying to go straight during overlapping personal crises. [4]

His ability to improvise was fantastic and the band was outstanding. [1]

best and worst dressed oscars 2011

Monday, February 28th, 2011

There were a plenty of fashion winners last night on the Oscars 2011 red carpet. [1]

Yes, that horrendous pink/purple Givenchy worn by Cate Blanchett was HIDEOUS, the rest of the dresses you chose as “worst dressed” were GORGEOUS!!! [2]

Mila Kunis wore a stellar Oscars Dress which showed off her decolletage (I didn’t know what that meant until about 20 minutes ago). [1]

Kudos to Jennifer Hudson for the weight loss ! [3]

Natalie Portman Most pregnant women resign themselves to wearing sweatpants everywhere, but Natalie Portman took maternity fashion to another level at the 2011 Oscars. [1]

The dress featured a deep draped V-neck that showed a little skin without looking too exposed. [4]

The AOL author of this article needs therapy, big time. [2]

The Academy Awards 2011 were full of all kind of dresses: some elegant, some that looked like they were put together with duct tape. [1]

As for the jewels, Mo’Nique wore 90 carats worth of Chopard diamonds: Radiant cut yellow diamond drop earrings, and two yellow princess cut diamond line bracelets. [...] It was definitely a bold choice (and so was the hair!) and we loved it. [4]

Halle Berry Yeah, Michelle Williams looked good in her Twiggy -style short hair, but nobody can rock short hair like Halle Berry. [1]

Everyone’s favorite fashionsta set a new standard for red carpet gorgeous in this yellow Chanel couture dress with silver rosette accents. [...] The lovely first time Oscar nominee wore an electric blue Tadashi Shoji gown for her big day. [4]

She looked wonderful in her dress too. [3]

The Hollywood veteran presented the best supporting actress award to Melissa Leo for The Fighter but the big moment was a long time coming because Douglas couldn’t resist hamming it up. [4]

The 94-year-old actor made the most of his time presenting the Best Supporting Actress Oscar, talking about how beautiful co-host Anne Hathaway is and teasing the nominees by repeatedly delaying the announcement. [1]

Kirk Douglas shuffled out with the aid of a cane to present the nominees for Best Supporting Actress, but first ogled Franco and Hathaway. [2]

Hollywood ing?nue now a star overnight, thanks to Bogie and ‘To Have and Have Not’ (1944), Lauren Bacall recommended her former classmate to director Hal Wallis, which led to Douglas’ feature film debut opposite Barbara Stanwyck in “The Strange Love of Martha Ivers” (1946). [5]

During high school, he acted in school plays, and discovered “The one thing in my life that I always knew, that was always constant, was that I wanted to be an actor.” [3]

On Twitter, the Oscar-watching audience both laughed and groaned at Douglas’ antics. [1]

He is #17 on the American Film Institute ’s list of the greatest male American screen legends of all time. [3]

In 1947, Douglas became a father again with the birth of son, Joel, and his career ramped up with features ‘Mourning Becomes Electra’ (1947) and ‘Out of the Past’ (1947). [5]
