call of duty elite

A post over on the Electric Hydra forums (via Destructoid) has what it claims are logos for Modern Warfare 3 and something called Call of Duty: Elite. [1]

What is a bit surprising is the “Call of Duty: Elite” image. [2]

Two logos were leaked; one clearly suggesting ‘MW3′, the other ‘Call of Duty Elite’ which would suggest a premium online service. [3]

Other than reporting $503 million in profits, the publisher also further revealed its plans for the Call of Duty franchise. [4]

On Monday, we were hoping for an official announcement of the game during Activision’s earnings call, but we only received a few details, acknowledging that “some” type of “Call of Duty” game was coming in 2011. [2]

The next Call of Duty game will be announced within weeks, and with EA’s Battlefield 3 looking so impressive we can expect both to compete for gamers hard earned cash. [3]

What we heard: On Monday, Activision issued its earnings for the January-March quarter. [5]

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 getting an official reveal could honestly happen any day now, so if the logo posted is indeed the real deal, it’s really not so outrageous. [1]

Although we’re taking the logos with a pinch of salt for now (someone really likes the emboss toolin Photoshop) Modern Warfare 3 is all but confirmed as Activision’s next big Call of Duty release. [6]

One is a logo for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. [4]

The game is rumored to be called for the time being Call of Duty Project Colossus, at least according to the placeholder posted by Tesco earlier this week, and the game is supposedly also getting a full reveal in the next issue of OPM. [1]

It will be no surprise to any gamer if Modern Warfare 3 is the next Activision FPS, and yesterday reports on the internet suggested this was the case. [3]

More importantly, the other two images appear to be logos for “Modern Warfare 3″ and a mysteriously titled “Call of Duty: Elite.” [2]

Users who looked at content for this game also looked at these games. [4]

Call of Duty Elite could well be the online-specific spin-off that Activision has been talking up - a quick domain name search shows that callofdutyelite.com was registered by domain protection service markmonitor.com, the same firm that has registered previous Call of Duty-related domains before they revert to Activision.
