Mark Madoff, Bernie’s son, committed suicide in December, 2010, amid the mounting pressure surrounding his father’s massive ponzi scheme. [1]

Mark Madoff, 46, hanged himself Saturday with a dog leash from a steel pipe in the living room of his SoHo loft. [2]

Mark Madoff, the older of Bernard L. Madoff ’s two sons, hanged himself in his Manhattan apartment on Saturday, the second anniversary of his father’s arrest for running a gigantic Ponzi scheme that shattered thousands of lives around the world. [3]

Mark, Bernie, Andy and Ruth Madoff, are seen in this undated file photo. [4]

Mark Madoff, his mother and his brother were all the subject of constant media speculation. [5]

Before his suicide last year, Mark Madoff had been writing his own memoir. [6]

According to the sons, Madoff told Mark Madoff on December 9 that he planned to pay out $173 million in bonuses two months early. [7]

Mark Madoff, the handsome prince of Bernie Madoff’s ill-gotten kingdom, lived the sweet life before his father’s $65 billion scam imploded. [8]

Ruth Madoff is blaming her jailed-crook husband, Bernie, for the grisly suicide of their eldest son, Mark, biographer Jerry Oppenheimer told The Post yesterday. [2]

According to documents filed by the F.B.I. at the time of the arrest, that meeting led to a private conversation on Dec. 10, 2008, in which Bernard Madoff told his sons that all the wealth and success the family seemed to possess were based on a lie - an immense Ponzi scheme that was crumbling under the pressures of the financial crisis. [5]

Madoff Mack was married to Bernie’s eldest son Mark, who hanged himself in his Soho loft two years to the day after his father’s arrest. [6]

The wife of convicted Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff says that she and Bernie were so upset after the collapse of his multi-billion-dollar fraud that they decided to commit suicide together on Christmas Eve. [4]

Martin London, a prominent New York lawyer who is the stepfather of Mark’s wife, Stephanie, discovered the body. [5]

The 46-year-old had been happily married since 2003 to his second wife, Stephanie, a stunning blonde who was a rising star in the fashion industry. [8]

The person said Mr. Madoff had expressed both continuing bitterness toward his father and anxiety about a series of lawsuits that were filed against him, his brother Andrew and other family members. [3]

Ruth Madoff, wife of the world’s biggest Ponzi schemer, claims she and her husband tried to kill themselves because they could no longer live with the guilt and the hatred. [1]

In the first interview Ruth Madoff has given about her husband’s crimes, she tells Morley Safer she and Bernard were so distraught over the burden of those crimes that they attempted suicide together. [2]

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — Ruth Madoff says she and her husband attempted suicide as public outrage mounted over Bernard Madoff’s infamous $50 billion Ponzi scheme, the largest in U.S. history. [4]

Ruth Madoff, whose husband Bernard L. Madoff is serving a 150-year prison sentence for conning investors out of billions of dollars, was more deeply hurt by his alleged long-running extramarital affair than by his fraud, according to a new book. [5]

“60 Minutes” has been hyping its Sunday interview with Ruth Madoff in which she claims that she and her husband Bernie Madoff attempted suicide. [6]

Ruth Madoff refused to turn her back on her notorious husband, Bernie, despite a desperate plea from her suicidal son. [7]

With Ruth Madoff nearby, Madoff told them he was “finished,” that he had “absolutely nothing” left, that his investment fund was “just one big lie” and “basically, a giant Ponzi scheme.” [8]

Ruth Madoff tells 60 Minutes that she and her swindler husband, Bernard, attempted suicide together because of the “burden” of his notorious financial crimes, CBS News says. [9]

On Christmas Eve 2008, two weeks after Bernard L. Madoff confessed to running history’s largest Ponzi scheme, he and his wife, Ruth, attempted suicide in their Manhattan penthouse. [3]

Mark, Bernie, Andy and Ruth Madoff, are seen in this undated file photo. [7]

According to Mrs. Madoff, who has been living in seclusion in Florida, she and her husband “were both in agreement - we were both sort of relieved to leave this place. [3]

Bernard Madoff pleaded guilty to 11 felonies in March 2009 and is serving 150 years in federal prison. [9]

The couple raided their medicine cabinet to concoct a deadly cocktail of drugs, and ended up swallowing whole bottles of pills, including Ambien and possibly Klonopin, Ruth said in the interview taped on Oct. 6 in New York. [1]
